CITY STYLE: Stockholm

I've been particularly lucky to have visited the Swedish capital six or seven times due to the fact my boyfriend's family live there. It is now one of my favourite cities for many reasons: the pastel dabbled architecture, sharp cold climate in the winter, warm clear sunshine in the summer and its slick, super stylish residents.

I love how the Swedes' cool heritage is evident in every aspect of design. Buildings are simple, understated, practical but elegant. Fashion is modern, uncluttered and laid-back. Walking through Stockholm's clean, pastel streets, men and women alike dress simply: boots, jeans, shirts in neutral shades of white, black, taupe, camel or moss mixed with select cuts of regimental red, daffodil yellow or a pop of plastic pink.

Ok, so I'm generalising, as so many Stockholm girls
or guys stand out for
their own individual style. This, in turn with the overall sense of classic, cool design makes Stockholm a must-see place to survey a city that knows how chic it is, without being ostentatious or showy.
